Tools For How To Use Photoshop:
- Cricut Maker or Cricut Explore Air -while I don't use my Cricut in this tutorial, yous will however need it when you cut out your projection.
- Cricut Design Space
- Adobe Photoshop
- Bright Life Watercolor Ready
- How-do-you-do Sunshine Font
Step-By-Step How To Apply Photoshop To Create Cricut Cut Files:
- Open Adobe Photoshop, so create a new document. Tip: I ever recommend making the file size larger than the size you lot will be cutting out since Photoshop images tin go pixelated if you enlarge them.
- Go to FILE then click on Place Embed and choose a PNG epitome you lot'd like to use. I used elements from the Bright Life Watercolor Set.
- Repeat until you accept all the elements yous'd like, so rearrange and resize them. Tip: To motion an item to the dorsum or front end, go to the LAYERS console, click on the element, then drag it down or up.
- Select the type tool, and then choose your font (I used Howdy Sunshine Font). Click anywhere on the page and start typing. Suit the size in the Grapheme Panel.
- In one case everything is where you want information technology to be, select all of the elements, then go to the LAYERS panel, select all the items past clicking the top element, agree the shift central, then select the bottom element. Now drag everything to the file folder to Grouping the images.
- Select the group and drag information technology to the NEW icon (information technology looks like a sticky note). This will duplicate the group. Annotation: I do this in case I ever desire to modify anything…y'all'll run into why in the adjacent step.
- Now, hide 1 of the groups past clicking on the icon that looks similar an eye. Open up the other group and select all the elements, right click and select MERGE LAYERS. Once they're merged y'all will not be able to edit individual layers.
- Now, hide the white background.
- Select the MAGIC WAND tool and click outside the grouped image. As well click within the loopy messages like the f, e, o, etc.
- Right click, so SELECT Inverse. Keep information technology selected for the side by side steps.
- Create a new layer in the layers console backside the graphic by clicking on the sticky note icon.
- Go to the Drawing Tool, brand sure the color is white, and starting time coloring on the graphic in the new layer.
- Once information technology's filled in, get to FILE, click on Salvage Every bit and cull PNG as the file type.
At present that your file is saved, you can upload it to Cricut Blueprint Space as a Print and Cut file! Cricut volition do the balance for you 🙂
