California Prop 65 Warning
What is Proposition 65?
Proposition 65 is a California law that applies to companies selling products in California. Proposition 65 requires warnings if a product contains any listed chemical present above very low levels. Proposition 65's warning standards are among the most stringent in the world. Proposition 65 is not a product safety law, but rather a "right-to-know" law. Businesses are required to provide warnings to comply with Proposition 65.
There are over 800 chemicals on the Proposition 65 list, which is administered by California's Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA), a part of the California Environmental Protection Agency. The list includes naturally occurring and man-made chemicals. Proposition 65 warnings can be seen for a wide variety of everyday consumer products, including electronic equipment, and warnings can be seen posted throughout California in a variety of establishments such as buildings, hotels, restaurants, coffee shops, and stores.
Why do you see the warning on our packaging and website?
The warning is part of our ongoing effort to comply with the California Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986 (known as "Proposition 65").

The built-in DVD player lets you play DVD, CD, MP3, MP4, VCD, JPEG and WMA formatted discs through this system.
Built-In Navigation
An easy to use GUI with the maps of all 50 states and Puerto Rico plus Point of Interest all preloaded. Features text to speech technology to give you not only visual but also voice turn by turn guidance.
Built-in Preset EQ
The built-in, Preset EQ allows you to chose from preset EQ curves for a variety of music styles such as Rock or POP.
ESP
ESP [Electronic skip protection] is a feature that buffers the CD while playing, storing 5 seconds of music. If disc reading is interrupted, the player momentarily uses the stored data, while the tracking circuitry finds the passage prior to the interruption on the CD for continuous performance.
ID3 TAG
ID3 Tag allows the audio file to store and display additional data such as title, artist, album, track number and more.
RDS Tuner
Radio Data System (RDS) provides information on the radio display such as the Call Name of the station, Programing format and allows a broadcaster to send up to a 64 character message that could scroll things like sports scores, song titles, artist or album names, traffic and news across your radio's display.

Steering Wheel Controls (SWC)
Our Steering Wheel Control-compatible units allow you to control the functions of the radio from the buttons on your steering wheel (if equipped). This provides convenience and safety by allowing you to keep your hands on the wheel. An additional interface is required and sold separately. We recommend the Metra ASWC.
Touchscreen Control
Our touchscreen panels give you access to the unit's control functions by simply touching the function you want to use.
USB Charging
Built-in 1A charger allows you to charge your USB connected device thru this units USB port.
USB Playback
The USB port will support a USB flash drive up to 32 GB and can be used for music playback as well as photo and video viewing (on source units equipped with a monitor). Some units have a mini USB input but come with the adapter to convert to be able to play full size USB drives.
Video Output
Video RCA Output allows you to connect directly from your source unit to the video input of external monitor(s), such as headrest or overhead monitors. If you plan on using multiple video monitors, we recommend using a video signal amplifier to boost the signal for optimum picture quality.
Wireless Remote Control
A wireless remote control gives you commanding access to the key functions of your unit from the palm of your hand.

I would have sent it back but I was dumb enough to solder the Chevy adapter to the units ...
I'm gonna give it 3 stars until I figure out how to install it. Despite the fact that it said it fits my 2002 Silverado, it does not. Come to find out I have a din and a half....not double. Would not have purchased had it not said it would fit. I would have sent it back but I was dumb enough to solder the Chevy adapter to the units wire harness before checking.
I will update my review once I figure out how to install it cleanly and securely in an offroad truck and get some time behind it.
I did power it up and seems pretty good operationally so far.
CRAPPY INSTRUCTIONS radio and camera.

Not bad, not great.
I'd like to give this 3 1/2 stars, but I don't have an option for 1/2. I received and installed this a couple weeks ago. Overall, I'm satisfied. Installation was pretty simple. The only problem is there wasn't enough depth in my car so the head unit sticks out ~1/4 inch. This is even with a trim kit for my car (06 Hyundai Sonata). However, not checking the measurements is my fault.
The head unit does a LOT. Radio (18 FM storage locations, 12 AM storage), Bluetooth (what I mainly got it for), DVD (haven't tested yet, but played a CD), and GPS (more on that in a moment). It also has an AUX input and an input for a backup camera (LOVE). I'm not crazy about the screen layout for the radio (what I use 95%+ of the time), I wish the radio presets would be larger and the menu (band, scan, preset scan(?), local/distant, EQ) was smaller.
The touch screen is very responsive (I did have to calibrate it).
My biggest problem is with the GPS. The first thing I tried it on was my work location. We've been at the same address for 50+ years. The GPS was going to take me 20 miles away. I used it for a road trip this weekend, and one of the locations (out of 3-4 we had to find) it didn't recognize the street number. I also think the display isn't very good showing you the intended route vs. other streets. It uses so many different colors for streets (I guess based on size), it's hard to distinguish the route. I started looking for map updates (since the unit lists the maps that came with the unit as from 2013), and I'd have to pay another $25 for the "latest" maps (which are from 2015). Maybe I'm spoiled by my 6 year old Garmin, but they allowed you one update free, and it's easy to tell the route you're supposed to be on....

Couldnt be more happy with this product
Couldnt be more happy with this product! Everything works flawlessly! GPS is on point as well. Cant believe the price paid for this type of quality. Of course its not going to compare to some $600 plus units, but for the price this cant be beat!

Nice audio system, but weird choice of maps.
Very nice audio system. Should work for any car with double DIN space. With a little work I finally installed it to my 2006 Subaru Forester.
I love the sound quality and all the functions. Navigation system is not the best one, a bit hard to go through the menus, and not confirming the final address if searched by POI. Another problem is that Canadian maps are missing, while PR and Virgin Islands are included for some reason. It is very weird choice of maps for New Jersey - I think it should rather include maps of areas reachable by car! I contacted customer service, but they told me that I can purchase Canadian maps for another $60. So I have to rely on Waze while traveling to Canada. :(

The radio works well and does what it needs to. However, the AUX ports pushed into the case and are no longer usable. The build quality lacks but it isn't a high end unit.
The navigation isn't updated and takes you on some long routes. I will continue to use google maps.

Wonderful GPS/Stereo
Four hours to install, and we had to buy a few pieces like the steering adapter, however this is an AMAZING stereo! I love the GPS maps which all seem to be correct. I love that we can listen to music while using the GPS because we take a TON of road trips and this has always been such a drawback. Picture and Sound all are sharp and clear. The controls are mostly intuitive. If you are uncomfortable trying to install this an audio system like this, I'd say it would be worth it to hire someone to do it. The price point on this stereo for what you get is phenomenal.

Fits 2009 Hyundai Elantra
I had my brother install it in under three hours (was his first time). The system is user friendly. What I love the most is that you can run the GPS and listen to music at the same time. The music lowers a little when the voice comes on to instruct you where to turn. It requires a "mouse like" device to be placed in the corner of the dash that works with the GPS component. It has an AMP built in the music is loud and great. I initially needed to troubleshoot because the radio was a little staticky at first. All in all I love it! By the way you have to buy an install kit (Double Din) which I purchased for a few bucks on Amazon as well.

Easy to install
Easy to install. I had to purchase a double-din install kit as the one it comes with left gaps. The resolution of the touchscreen is not bad and completely usable but is not as sharp as others I've seen. The interface is straight-forward and easy to use. The positives: lots of power, lots of features for the price. GPS navigation works great. Rear backup camera input is wonderful. I added one for $30. The negatives: GPS map updating will be tricky as the files are stored on a micro-SD card which requires a pc and a micro-sd reader. The built-in handsfree bluetooth mic is horrible. And, with no input for an external mic renders the feature nearly unusable. The sound adjustments are very limited and basic.
Overall, for the price and feature set I would recommend this unit (but not if the only feature you want is bluetooth handsfree!).

Almost Everything You Need in an InDash Console for a Smartphone
This unit has everything that you would want in and in dash unit: Bluetooth audio and phone, navigation & GPS, multiple audio inputs, and phone connection for audio and listening to many of the streaming music services; and input for rear camera. I would get it professionally installed, especially if you want steering wheel controls, which require a separate kit. Even then, some of the steering wheel controls do not work. In GM vehicles, the Onstar does not work after installing this, but except for emergency services, User interface is good but it is not the easiest to use.

easy install, nice user interface.
I previously had an aftermarket stereo that was sub-par to say the least. I was very excited to give this one a try. I did the install myself and have never done anything like this before. My husband had done the prior one, so it was already set up with the wiring harness and steering wheel connector necessary. I have a 2012 Chevy Traverse and did get the Metra 95-3305 Double DIN Installation Dash Kit for 2006-up Chevrolet Vehicles to fit it into the dash correctly.
The wires were very easy to match up and it only took a short period of time for me to get them hooked up. I did not install a backup camera as it will take a little more work that I do not feel qualified to do (drilling holes and such).
The stereo sound works great with my speakers. I connected my Samsung phone up through Bluetooth and played my Amazon music through it and it sounds great plus all the controls for the music are right on the screen (my old stereo still required me to use my phone). It also loaded up my entire phonebook making phone calls much easier.
The GPS loaded up quickly and found my location without a problem. It followed me on my travels and it was correct.
The user interface is nice and easy to use. I had no trouble finding what I was looking for in the settings. I am having a little difficulty setting up the steering wheel controls (which did work on the old stereo, so the connector is correct), but otherwise I have no issues.
I'm very happy with my updated stereo and proud of myself for being able to do the installation myself.

Great little unit
This unit is great. It works easily with my phone, and plays both Pandora and Spotify, which feels like a luxury in my old car. The GPS function is excellent as well; the touchscreen is great and the maps load quickly. Five stars!

Very nice headunit
I installed this in my wife's Hyundai Tuscon. Install was simple after purchasing the necessary parts (wiring harness, double DIN conversion bezel, and steering wheel control adapter). All of the wires on the headunit are very clearly labelled (actual labels, not just microscopic writing on the wires themselves), so connecting to the factor harness adapter was a breeze.
Once installed, the stereo is awesome. It has more power than the factory stereo, so I immediately noticed a very nice increase in sound quality from the factory speakers (which thankfully can handle the added power).
The user interface is excellent. Menus are super easy to navigate and very intuitive (if you have minimal experience with any sort of smartphone, you will figure out this stereo in seconds).
There is one physical knob for volume and power and a phyiscal button to cycle through the sources. Unfortunately it does cycle through sources that are not hooked up, so if you dont have an AUX in, you still have to go through the AUX in page to get back to the radio. Not a huge deal, but would be nice if it just skipped blank sources.
Bluetooth connection to iphone 7 was simple and took a couple of seconds. Calls display on screen along with a menu of options.
I also installed a backup camera along with this (camera not included in the box). In order to auto-activate, you have to have a reverse wire connected. I was hoping that it would switch to camera upon detection of a signal (my camera only powers on when reverse lights are engaged), but the wire is a must. Not a huge additional install, but in my case requires an additional wire from front to back (there is probably a wire I could have tapped much closer to the headunit, but I didnt feel like looking)....

Amazing
I have to say that I love this head unit. I installed it in a 2002 Chevy S-10 pickup without upgrading the speakers and still it sounds great. I can't was to upgrade the speakers! I would most heartedly suggested that you buy the installation kit and dash adapter before you attempt to install. I tried for 2 hours before I threw my hands up. I got the dash kit and harness and 20 minutes later I was blasting tunes. Without the kits the unit won't sit right in your dash and you'll have to cut wires. Once installed setup was easy and intuitive. My phone was hooked up, my Pono player was hooked into the aux, eq adjusted to my taste, navigation was up and running& a CD was playing. A bit later in the day I hooked up a back up camera and installed a sub. This truck is a 2002 with only 36k miles on it. I almost never drove it because the stock stereo was garbage, preferring to drive my car because it had a good sound system. Now that my truck sounds good I'll be driving it a lot more. I don't know why I didn't do this year's ago. This is just about the best system you can get for anywhere near the price. I couldn't be happier and I wholeheartedly recommend this unit if you are looking for a great system with the features you most want for a reasonable price.

Great stereo.
Pretty awesome stereo and very easy to install. When I first installed it the radio didn't pull in that many stations then I realized that there was a powered antenna so I went back in and hooked it up and everything works great. Took the car (Hyndai Elantra GT 2014) back to the dealer for a tune up and they couldn't get over how it looked like a factory install. It can be configured to tell you when you are exceeding the speed limit so I turned it on and it freaked out my wife when she first heard it tell her she was going to fast. Very configurable and easy to understand. Blue tooth pairing was quick and easy and the mic in the stereo works really well for hands free calling.

Planet Audio PNV 9680 - Good deck to get you started
I'm giving this five stars although I would rather have been able to give it 4.5 stars..
I got this deck in order to install a backup camera on my truck, which was impossible to see to the rear with mirrors. I chose it for the features it offered, number of positive reviews, and mainly the price which was acceptable. I also was interested in all of the other features, including Bluetooth audio/phone connect, audio/visual, USB and aux connects and GPS navigation (among others). I am well satisfied with the performance of the deck overall although I have yet to truly test the performance of the Navigation function.
The only real bummer I had with this deck was the remote did not work. I don't use remotes in my vehicles so this was not a big deal to me.
Here's some info on installing this deck (2004 Ford Ranger). I used the Metra Double DIN installation kit plus the Metra audio/electrical harness adapter. At first I didn't think the Metra brackets would work until I realized the PNV9680 has like, two sets of metal brackets on the outside of the unit that must be removed in order to use the Metra bracket. Once I figured that out it was good to go. Keep in mind you are going to need to cut off the standard electric harness that is supplied (NOT the end that goes into the deck - the other end) and then color-match and solder each of the wires to the Metra wire harness. There are like 12 or something wires and it is tedious. But not too complicated. Now a word about the infamous "reverse wire." This is a purple wire that comes out of the deck harness and it is used to signal the deck to switch to the rear camera. It needs a 12VDC signal to do this....

Good product, good value
After purchasing and returning several "budget-minded-ly priced" navigation head units that were either poorly made or lacking in features, I came upon this unit and found a "keeper". At a price point much lower than most comparable built-in GPS units, this one boasts enough features to give you a lot of bang for your buck. It's not perfect, but if you want perfect you're shopping the wrong price point.
*All sync comments are based on connection with my Samsung Galaxy Mega.
Cons:
-Syncs contact list in numerical order by phone number, not alphabetically by name. Yep, that's how they decided to organize it, in a way that no phone on the planet would ever organize it, making it virtually useless in this day and age of "if I could remember somebody's phone number I wouldn't need to look them up, now would I?" Not the end of the world, but completely useless.
-You cannot carry on a bluetooth phone conversation and display navigation at the same time, nor does it give audible direction while on a phone call. This is really annoying when you're at that crucial "last few turns" moment and your girlfriend calls you crying about her lip gloss or a kitten she saw online or whatever they think your life should halt for and you wind up missing your turn. The silver lining for this is that it will teach you to be more comfortable with sending people to voicemail.
-Call logs are not actually synced, they are established through use of the head unit, and only retained since the last time the unit was powered on. This means that your log only shows the calls you've made on this trip, and it only shows the phone number you dialed, not the name of the contact. The "Received Calls" log has never populated for me....

Excellent multimedia central for car
I have a brand new Fit 2014, but it came without any stereo.
So I started looking for a Double-Din stereos available with GPS (the key feature for me).
I don't mind about DVD, but GPS is critical for me.
I didn't want to spend a lot of money with Pioneer or similars, so I decided to give it a shot.
The stereo is very good, with all features that you need nowadays (SD card, USB, CD), compatible with MP3, DVD for movies, Bluetooth for hands-free and/or music from phones, parking-camera support and a GPS featuring the iGo software.
The iGo is easily updated using the Naviextras software and I like very much the iGo system.
Definetely a good value for your money.

Great Product for Price!
Purchased two of these for different older vehicles. Installs were very easy and both units work as advertised. Make sure to also buy vehicle specific adapter for easy plug and play using OEM plug! Simple soldering of adapter to Planet Audio harness and you'll be good to go!! Route navigation antenna through dash defroster vent opening and place in either corner where dash meets windshield. Works perfect, no visible wiring or antenna!!
